WVAB History

The Williams Valley Alumni Band was established on April 4, 2011. The band made its first public appearance in October for Homecoming ’11 at Viking Stadium. The band has performed at all homecoming half-time shows since with the exception of 2020 due to the COVID pandemic. Over the years the WVAB, with over 500 members, has had from 30 to 100 musicians perform with the “Pride” Marching Band during the half-time shows. In 2021 the combined bands saluted former director John Potlunas by performing the Firebird Suite which had been a favorite and used by Mr. P four times during his 17 year tenure as director of the “Pride”.
